Highlights

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Arrive Bali · Transfer to Ubud — Our representative meets you at Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar) after immigration and customs. The private transfer to Ubud takes about 1.5 hours, and longer in evening traffic. Hotel check-in is usually from 2 pm, and you get a welcome drink on arrival. The evening is free to walk around central Ubud, where several restaurants near Ubud Palace serve Indian and vegetarian food.
  2. Ubud full-day tour · Monkey Forest and craft villages — After breakfast, start a full-day Ubud tour with your driver and guide. The morning covers the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, Ubud Palace and the Ubud Art Market. Keep food, sunglasses and loose items out of the monkeys' reach. In the afternoon, the art and craft tour visits three villages within about 20–30 minutes of Ubud: Celuk for silverwork, Mas for wood carving and Batuan for traditional…
  3. Tegalalang rice terraces · Tegenungan waterfall — After breakfast, drive about 30 minutes north to the Tegalalang rice terraces. You can walk down into the terraces. The swings and photo spots there charge separately. In the afternoon, drive about 40 minutes to Tegenungan waterfall, which you reach by a steep stairway of about 15 minutes each way. Wear shoes with good grip. Optional, at extra cost: the Mount Batur sunrise trek. Pickup is around…
  4. Taman Ayun temple · Tanah Lot sunset · Transfer to Seminyak — Check out after breakfast and drive about 1 hour to Taman Ayun, the royal temple at Mengwi. Continue about 30 minutes to Tanah Lot and spend the late afternoon at the sea temple built on a rock. Visitors cannot enter the inner shrine, but at low tide you can walk to the base of the rock. Entrance fees and sarongs are included. After sunset, drive about 45 minutes to 1 hour to your hotel in…
  5. Tanjung Benoa water sports · Uluwatu temple at sunset — In the morning, drive about 45 minutes to Tanjung Benoa for the water sports package. The activities are those listed in your confirmed quote, and you can add more and pay at the counter. Return to the hotel to rest. In the afternoon, drive about 1 hour to Uluwatu temple on the clifftop. Temple entry and sarongs are included. The Kecak fire dance at sunset, around 6 pm and lasting about 1 hour,…
  6. Free day in Seminyak · Optional beach club — The day is free, with no car or guide booked. Seminyak beach is a short walk or ride from most hotels. Beach clubs in Seminyak and nearby Canggu charge an entry fee or a minimum spend, which you pay yourself. You can also book a spa, shop on Jalan Laksmana (Eat Street), or arrange an optional tour through us.
  7. Departure from Bali — Check out by 12 noon, which is the usual hotel checkout time. The transfer to Ngurah Rai International Airport takes about 30–45 minutes, but traffic can double that. Plan to reach the airport 3 hours before your international flight.

Visa & entry

Indian passport holders can get a visa on arrival for Indonesia. Apply online for the e-VOA before travel on the official site evisa.imigrasi.go.id (recommended), or buy it at Bali airport on arrival. The fee is currently IDR 500,000 per person, and the visa allows a 30-day stay that can be extended once by 30 days. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from arrival, and you need a return ticket. Two more steps apply. First, pay the Bali tourist levy of IDR 150,000 per person, once per trip, through the official Love Bali website or app. Second, fill in the free All Indonesia arrival declaration online within 3 days before landing and show its QR code at the airport. Indonesia has announced a planned increase in the visa fee, so we confirm the current fee when you book.

Good to know

Questions travellers ask

Do we need a visa for Bali?

Yes, but it is a visa on arrival. You can apply online as an e-VOA before travel or get it at Bali airport, for IDR 500,000 per person and a 30-day stay. You also pay the IDR 150,000 Bali tourist levy and fill in the free All Indonesia arrival declaration online. We guide you through all three.

Is vegetarian food available?

Yes. Ubud has many vegetarian restaurants, and Ubud, Seminyak and Kuta have Indian restaurants. Hotel breakfasts include vegetarian options. For Jain food, tell us at booking so we can inform the hotels.

Is the Mount Batur sunrise trek included?

No. It is optional and costs extra. It involves a pickup at about 2 am and around 2 hours of uphill walking on loose volcanic gravel in the dark. It suits people with reasonable fitness, and we do not recommend it for young children, seniors or anyone with knee or heart problems.

Is this package good for a honeymoon?

Yes. Ubud is quiet and green, and Seminyak is close to the beach, cafés and restaurants. We can upgrade either stay to a private pool villa at extra cost.

Can we stay in Kuta or Nusa Dua instead of Seminyak?

Yes, on request. The price may change depending on the hotel, and drive times to Tanah Lot and Uluwatu change slightly.
