Visa & entry
Indian passport holders can get a visa on arrival for Indonesia. Apply online for the e-VOA before travel on the official site evisa.imigrasi.go.id (recommended), or buy it at Bali airport on arrival. The fee is currently IDR 500,000 per person, and the visa allows a 30-day stay that can be extended once by 30 days. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from arrival, and you need a return ticket. Two more steps apply. First, pay the Bali tourist levy of IDR 150,000 per person, once per trip, through the official Love Bali website or app. Second, fill in the free All Indonesia arrival declaration online within 3 days before landing and show its QR code at the airport. Indonesia has announced a planned increase in the visa fee, so we confirm the current fee when you book.
Good to know
Budget for the extras: the visa on arrival and the Bali tourist levy together come to about IDR 650,000 per person, plus lunches, dinners and any optional tours.
At temples, cover your shoulders and knees. A sarong is provided at each temple visit on this tour.
Currency is the Indonesian rupiah (IDR). Use bank ATMs or authorised money changers in Kuta and count your notes at the counter. Exchange US dollars, because Indian rupees are not easily exchanged in Bali.
Kuta beach has strong currents on some days. Swim only between the red-and-yellow flags where lifeguards are on duty.
Bali is warm and humid all year, at about 27–32°C. Pack light cotton clothes, sunscreen, a cap and an umbrella for the November–March wet season.
Kuta has several Indian restaurants and vegetarian food is easy to find. Drink bottled water only.
Questions travellers ask
Why do we stay in one hotel for all 4 nights?
Kuta is central and close to the airport, so day trips to Ubud, Tanah Lot and Uluwatu are easy, and you save the cost and time of changing hotels. If you would like a night in Ubud, we can quote that change.
Are lunch and dinner included?
No, only daily breakfast is included, which keeps the price low. Kuta has many affordable Indian and vegetarian restaurants, and a simple meal costs roughly IDR 60,000–150,000 per person.
Do we need a visa for Bali?
Yes, but it is a visa on arrival. You can apply online as an e-VOA before travel or get it at Bali airport, for IDR 500,000 per person and a 30-day stay. You also pay the IDR 150,000 Bali tourist levy and fill in the free All Indonesia arrival declaration online. We guide you through all three.
Is this trip suitable for seniors?
Yes. There is no trekking, and the drives are by private car. Uluwatu and Tanah Lot have some steps and uneven paths, so seniors can stop at the viewpoints closest to the car park.
Are flights included?
No, the price is for the land package. We can quote flights to Bali from Hyderabad or other Indian cities separately, usually with one connection.
