Our driver meets you and takes you to your hotel, about 45–60 minutes. Check-in is usually from 2:00–3:00 pm. In the evening, walk to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps; toss a coin into the fountain, but do not sit on the Spanish Steps, as…
Ancient Rome · Colosseum, Forum and Pantheon — After breakfast, a guided walking tour of about 4 hours: the Colosseum and the Roman Forum from outside, Piazza Venezia, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Campo de' Fiori. Going inside the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill needs a timed ticket booked well ahead; it is optional at extra cost and we can add it to your booking. The Pantheon also charges a small entry fee. Lunch is on your own; the…
Vatican City · St. Peter's Basilica — After breakfast, a guided visit to Vatican City: St. Peter's Square and St. Peter's Basilica, which is free to enter but has a strict dress code (shoulders and knees covered) and a security queue. Check in at Sorrento and walk down to Piazza Tasso and the cliff-top viewpoints…

Drive along the cliff road to Positano for photos and time on the beach front, then continue to the town of Amalfi to see its cathedral and lemon shops, about 1.5–2 hours of driving in total. In the evening, walk to the Ponte Vecchio, the old bridge lined with jewellery shops, and along the Arno river.

From the station, a water bus or water taxi takes you towards your hotel; inside Venice there are no cars, so expect to wheel your bags over small bridges. In the afternoon, walk to St. Mark's Square. As overnight guests, you…
Venice walking tour · Rialto Bridge and optional gondola — After breakfast, a guided walking tour of about 2 hours: St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace from outside, the Bridge of Sighs, and the lanes to the Rialto Bridge and market. The afternoon is free. Optional at extra cost: a 30-minute gondola ride (shared between up to 5 people), or a boat trip to Murano for a glass-blowing demonstration and to Burano for its colourful houses.
Departure from Venice — Breakfast and check-out. Transfer to Venice Marco Polo Airport by water taxi, water bus or road depending on your hotel, about 30–60 minutes, reaching 3 hours before your international flight. Claim any VAT refund on shopping at the airport before check-in.

Visa & entry
Indian passport holders need a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa, applied for at the Italy visa centre (VFS Global), as Italy is the only Schengen country on this trip. Apply up to 6 months and at least 3–4 weeks before travel; summer appointments fill early. The visa fee is €90 for adults and €45 for children aged 6–11 (children under 6 are free), plus the VFS service charge. You will need confirmed flights and hotels, travel insurance with at least €30,000 medical cover, bank statements and income tax returns. Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after your return date, have two blank pages and be less than 10 years old. Since April 2026 the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) is fully in use at Italian airports and other Schengen borders: fingerprints and a face photo are taken on your first entry instead of a passport stamp. ETIAS applies only to visa-free nationalities and does not affect Indian visitors with a Schengen visa; its launch has moved to 2027.
Good to know
Italy charges a city tourist tax at every hotel, usually €3–7 per person per night in Rome, Florence and Venice, paid in cash or by card at check-out.
Churches, including St. Peter's, require covered shoulders and knees for both men and women. Carry a light scarf or shawl.
Pickpockets are common on Rome buses and metro, at Termini station and around the Trevi Fountain. Keep passports in the hotel safe.
Venice has no cars, and Amalfi towns have many steps. Pack light; one medium suitcase per person is ideal.
Indian restaurants are found in Rome (near Termini), Florence and Venice Mestre. Italian food also suits vegetarians well: pizza margherita, pasta al pomodoro, risotto and gelato.
Many museums close on Mondays; the Vatican Museums close on Sundays. We plan the days around these closures.
Questions travellers ask
Is the Colosseum entry included?
The guided Rome walk covers the Colosseum and Forum from outside. Going inside is optional at extra cost, and tickets are released about a month ahead, so tell us early if you want it.
Is vegetarian food easy to find in Italy?
Yes. Pizza, pasta, risotto, salads and gelato all have vegetarian versions, and Indian restaurants are available in Rome, Florence and Venice Mestre. Dinners on this tour can be arranged as Indian meals.
Is this tour suitable for senior citizens?
It suits active seniors. Expect a lot of walking on cobblestones, steps in Amalfi towns and small bridges in Venice. We can choose hotels close to the stations to reduce walking with luggage.
Are flights and trains included?
International flights are not included; you fly into Rome and home from Venice. The Florence–Venice high-speed train is included. The Rome–Sorrento transfer and the Naples–Florence train are quoted separately.
Do we have to pay the Venice entry fee?
No. The access fee is only for day-trippers on set days. Hotel guests are exempt, though on fee days you may need to register online for a free QR code using your hotel booking.
