Fill in the free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online within 3 days before arrival. Good to know
Kuala Lumpur is hot and humid (about 24–33°C) with short afternoon showers; carry an umbrella. Genting is much cooler and often misty, so pack a light jacket.
Batu Caves and mosques have a dress code: cover knees and shoulders. Women need a headscarf to enter the National Mosque, which is seen from outside on this tour.
Langkawi is a duty-free island: chocolates, cookware and perfume are cheaper. Low-cost domestic fares may include only a cabin bag, so tell us your baggage needs before we book.
Vegetarian food is easy to find in Brickfields (Little India) and Masjid India in Kuala Lumpur, and there are Indian restaurants at Pantai Cenang.
The currency is the ringgit (MYR). Cards work in malls and hotels; carry cash for small shops and stalls. Power sockets are the UK three-pin type (Type G).
