Visa & entry
This trip covers two countries with different rules. Malaysia currently allows Indian passport holders visa-free visits of up to 30 days, under an exemption that runs until 31 December 2026; fill in the free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online within 3 days before arrival. Singapore requires a visa for Indian passport holders. You cannot apply yourself: a Singapore-authorised visa agent in India files the application, and we arrange this for you. Approved visas are issued as an e-Visa, and processing usually takes 3–5 working days after submission. Before entering Singapore, fill in the free SG Arrival Card online within 3 days before arrival; this applies at the land border too. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel. For travel from January 2027, check Malaysia's rules with us at booking.
Good to know
Malaysia uses the ringgit (MYR) and Singapore the Singapore dollar (SGD). Cards are widely accepted in Singapore; carry some ringgit in cash for small shops in Kuala Lumpur.
Both cities are hot and humid all year, about 26–33°C, with sudden short showers. Carry an umbrella and light cotton clothes, plus a light layer for air-conditioned malls and coaches.
Singapore has strict rules: no chewing gum in your luggage, no littering, and no eating or drinking on the MRT. Fines are enforced.
On the coach journey you keep your bags with you and clear both border checks in person. Seniors and families with small children may prefer the flight.
Vegetarian food is easy to find in Brickfields in Kuala Lumpur and Little India in Singapore, and most food courts have Indian stalls.
Power sockets are the UK three-pin type (Type G, 230V) in both countries, so carry a universal adapter.
Questions travellers ask
Do we need visas for both countries?
Singapore needs a visa, which we arrange through an authorised visa agent as an e-Visa. Malaysia is currently visa-free for Indians for up to 30 days, until 31 December 2026, but you must fill in the free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card online before arrival.
How do we travel from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore?
By coach, about 6–7 hours including both border checks, or by a 1-hour flight. The ticket is quoted separately so you can choose.
Are Universal Studios or Sentosa included?
No, this short trip covers city tours only. We can add a Sentosa or Universal Studios day with an extra Singapore night.
Is this trip too rushed for seniors?
The pace is moderate, with free afternoons. The travel day between the cities is long by coach, so seniors usually prefer the flight option.
Will we get vegetarian food?
Yes. Hotel breakfasts have vegetarian options, and both cities have many South Indian vegetarian restaurants.
