Before travel, fill in the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online at tdac.immigration.go.th within 72 hours before arrival. Good to know
Grand Palace dress code: shoulders and knees must be covered for both men and women; no shorts, sleeveless tops, short skirts or tight or see-through clothing. Remove footwear inside temple halls.
Bangkok and Phuket both have many Indian restaurants, including pure vegetarian ones. Tell us in advance if you need vegetarian lunch on the Phi Phi trip or a vegetarian cooking class menu.
Low-cost domestic fares may include only a cabin bag; check-in baggage allowance is as per the fare booked, so tell us your luggage needs before we book.
Use reef-safe sunscreen on the Phi Phi trip; sunscreens with oxybenzone and similar chemicals are banned in Thai marine parks.
The speedboat ride can be bumpy. It is not advised for pregnant women or people with back problems, and motion-sickness tablets help.
The currency is the Thai baht (THB). Cards work in hotels and malls; carry cash for markets, taxis and tips.
Questions travellers ask
Do Indians need a visa for Thailand?
No. Indian tourists can stay visa-free for up to 30 days. You must fill in the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card online within 72 hours before you land.
Is the Full Moon Party included?
No. The Full Moon Party is on Koh Phangan in the Gulf of Thailand, far from Phuket, so it does not fit this itinerary.
Do we fly back from Phuket or Bangkok?
This package ends in Phuket, so your return flight (booked separately, as international airfare is not included) should leave from Phuket. If better flights are via Bangkok, we can plan the route that way.
Is the Phi Phi trip safe for children and senior citizens?
Yes, with care. The boats carry life jackets and the crew assists at every stop. The ride can be bumpy in rough seas, so tell us about any back or health issues and we will advise.
Will we get vegetarian food?
Yes. Hotel breakfasts have vegetarian options, the Phi Phi lunch buffet has vegetarian dishes, and both cities have Indian vegetarian restaurants.
