Day-by-day itinerary
Arrive Da Nang · Evening by the Han River — Our representative meets you at Da Nang International Airport after immigration. The airport is only about 15–20 minutes from the hotels along My Khe beach. Check-in is usually from 2 pm. Spend the afternoon on the beach, then walk or take a short taxi to the Han River in the evening to see the bridges lit up. On Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm the Dragon Bridge breathes fire and water for a few…
Marble Mountains · Lady Buddha on Son Tra peninsula — After breakfast, drive about 20 minutes to the Marble Mountains. On Thuy Son, the main peak, steps lead to caves with Buddhist shrines and viewpoints over the coast; an elevator covers the first part of the climb at extra cost. The stone-carving village at the foot of the hill is a good place for small souvenirs. Continue about 30 minutes to Son Tra peninsula and Linh Ung Pagoda, home to the 67…
Free beach day · Optional Ba Na Hills — The day is free, with no vehicle or guide booked. Swim at My Khe beach in the morning, when the sea is calmest, and visit Han Market for coffee, dried fruit and souvenirs. If you prefer a day out, book the optional Ba Na Hills trip (about 1 hour each way), which includes a long cable car ride, the Golden Bridge held up by two giant stone hands, a French-style village and an amusement area; it is…
Transfer to Hoi An · Ancient Town walk at lantern time — Check out after breakfast and drive about 45 minutes south to Hoi An. After check-in and a rest through the midday heat, take a guided walk through the Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in the late afternoon: the Japanese Covered Bridge, an old merchant's house and a Chinese assembly hall, all covered by the Ancient Town ticket. Stay on as the lanterns come on after dark. A short boat…
Free day in Hoi An · An Bang beach and tailors — The day is free, with no vehicle or guide booked. Hoi An's tailors can make suits, dresses and shirts within 24–48 hours, so order early in the day if you want clothes made. Cycle or take a short taxi to An Bang beach (about 4 km), which is quieter than Da Nang. Optional extras include a round basket-boat ride in the Cam Thanh coconut forest, a cooking class, or a half-day trip to the My Son…

Visa & entry
Indian passport holders need a visa for Vietnam. The easiest option is the e-visa, applied for online only on the official portal evisa.gov.vn. It costs USD 25 for single entry or USD 50 for multiple entry, is valid for up to 90 days, and usually takes 3–5 working days, longer in peak periods. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from arrival with 2 blank pages, and the name, passport number and date of birth on the e-visa must exactly match your passport. Print the approved e-visa and carry it with your return ticket and hotel bookings. Avoid unofficial look-alike websites that charge extra.
Good to know
My Khe beach is best for swimming from about March to August. From September to January the sea can be rough; swim only where lifeguards are on duty and follow the flags.
Currency is the Vietnamese dong (VND). Carry US dollars and exchange them in Vietnam, because Indian rupees are not exchanged. Markets, tailors and street stalls prefer cash.
Vegetarian food is easy to find if you look for 'chay' (vegetarian) restaurants, and both Da Nang and Hoi An have Indian restaurants. Ask for 'no fish sauce' (không nước mắm) when ordering.
Cover shoulders and knees at Linh Ung Pagoda and the Marble Mountains shrines.
Central Vietnam is hot and humid from May to August (up to about 35°C). Carry sunscreen, a hat and water, and plan sightseeing for mornings and late afternoons.
Power sockets take two-pin plugs (Type A/C, 220V), and most Indian two-pin plugs fit. Drink bottled water only.
Questions travellers ask
Is Ba Na Hills included?
No, it is an optional day trip at extra cost, usually done on Day 3. The ticket includes the cable car and the Golden Bridge; we can add it with transfers and a buffet lunch with vegetarian options.
Is vegetarian food available?
Yes. Vegetarian 'chay' restaurants are common, and Da Nang and Hoi An have Indian restaurants. Hotel breakfasts include vegetarian options. For Jain food, tell us at booking.
Is this trip good for families with children and seniors?
Yes. Drives are short, the beach hotels are close to the sand, and there is plenty of free time. The Marble Mountains have steps, but seniors can use the elevator for the first part or stay at the lower level.
Do Indians need a visa for Vietnam?
Yes. Apply for the e-visa online at evisa.gov.vn, which costs USD 25 for single entry and usually takes 3–5 working days. We can help you fill in the form correctly.
Are flights included?
No, the price is for the land package. We quote flights to Da Nang separately. Some Indian cities have direct flights to Da Nang; from Hyderabad or Vijayawada you usually connect.
